Setting Preferences

Overview: Allows setting of certain preferences for how the system works, for display of tasks, use of acknowledgement button, and alert for patient waiting.

Location: Footer button on the Desktop when viewing the Task List.

Buttons: Click the Preference footer button on the Desktop to open up the Preferences screen, then click on the Desktop toggle button to set the desk top preferences summarized below.

  • Desktop Default: Sets the type of tasks to be displayed on the desktop.
    • All: All tasks will be displayed, including priority and non-priority task (i.e. priority is set to None).
    • Priority: Only priority tasks will be displayed
  • Use Acknowledge Button
    • Yes: The user must manually click the Acknowledge footer button to acknowledge and remove a forwarded item on the Task List.
    • No: The task will be automatically acknowledged when the Task Detail screen is viewed using the View Detail footer button followed by closing the Task Detail screen by clicking the List footer button to return to the Task List.
  • Provider Indicator of Patient Waiting
    • Header: An alert in red text stating "Patient Waiting" when the patient has been roomed and is waiting.
    • Popup: A popup window appear with the patient's name when the patient has been roomed and is waiting.
    • None: No alert is given for a patient roomed and waiting.
